Today, 21st of March, at Hotel Marinela Sofia, a press conference was held on the occasion of the fashion event – Sofia Fashion Week 2016, which will be held for the second time in the country on the territory of the latest location in Sofia – Hall EFE Hotel Marinela, from 22nd to 26th of March, 2016. The second edition of Sofia Fashion Week will be even larger and will take place within 5 days. In the five themed evenings, the organizers of Hotel Marinela and Agency 359 Model & Talent are promising a fashion event of the highest class, unmatched to date. The aim of the organizers is the Fashion Week to become close as possible to the traditions of Paris, New York and Milan, with its two editions for each of the fashion seasons – spring/ summer and autumn/ winter.

The press conference opened and lead prof. Lyubomir Stoykov – president of the Academy of Fashion, which outlines the program of Sofia Fashion Week 2016 and paid special attention to the social mission of the event and “Victoria Group” – supporting young designers. The concept for the evening of the young designers is by prof. Lubomir Stoykov, who has selected student designers who will show their design creations on the third night of the prestigious fashion scene of Sofia Fashion Week 2016.

Maria Boneva – official organizer of Sofia Fashion Week 2016, and owner of 359 Model & Talent, shares a basic information about the upcoming fashion event. She confirmed the news that a team of the global media giant – Fashion TV, will arrive in Bulgaria especially for the grand fashion forum. In addition, not only they will be a special guest, but the team of the world fashion television will affect the evenings of Sofia Fashion Week 2016. The best reviews and attractive designers/ brands will be shown in successive reports of the event. Team Fashion TV will stay in the renovated EFE Hotel Marinela, and will have a very rich program, organized by the hosts and organizers of the event – Victoria Group and 359 Model & Talent Agency. Maria Boneva also shared highlights from the program in each of the nights, in which besides fashion shows, there will be a unique fashion parties at different places in the renovated to the latest standards – Hotel Marinela Sofia.

Kalina Paskaleva – official PR of Hotel Marinela Sofia, appealed to designers and actors of Sofia Fashion Week 2016, to join the charitable cause of the hotel – organizing a gala evening for prom children deprived of parental care. Participants in the fashion week can donate clothes and accessories for 12 children from the “Professional School of stone processing”, from village Kunino, who will be accommodated at the hotel for their prom. The cause is the continuation of the Christmas campaign of Hotel Marinela Sofia – “Give a smile to a child.”

Guests of the conference were some of the participants in Sofia Fashion Week 2016. Special guest of the fashion forum will be Evgenia Zhivkova – designer of fashion house “Jeni Style”, which will open the second night of March 23rd, dedicated to designers, fashion houses and brands from Bulgaria and special for seniors. She said she will show elegant suggestions from her most current collection. Information about their participation as well, gave Yuliana Nedkova – official representative of Cesare Paciotti for Bulgaria, who is involved with Loredan Nastro – manager of Cesare Paciotti, a special guest on the first night – 22nd of March. The press conference was attended also by Zornitsa Dimitrova – daughter of Magdalen Dimitrov – owner of “Dimitrov”, who will participate in the Sofia Fashion Week with two fashion brands: Desizo Monni Milano, with designer Simona Kakanakova, with a collection “Russian fairy tale”, and MONNI with designer Diana Dimkova, with a collection “Graphic wave”. Miglena Kakanasheva – designer of MEGZ, said she will present a comprehensive concept with a popular personality, who has so far only been refusing participation.

Leading the Sofia Fashion Week 2016 will be the couples – Pavel Vladimirov and Camellia Avramova, and Teodor Todorov with Boyana Genova. On all the nights, VIP personalities from the fashion and business elite of the country will be attending and will have a showroom with a cocktail on the model of global editions of New York, Paris and Milan. At the end of Sofia Fashion Week 2016, hall EFE Hotel Marinela will be transformed for a special after party with DJ TARKAN.

Sofia Fashion Week 2016 will not be alloweing faces under 16 years old and adolescents from 16 to 18 years may attend with a companion.

The first night (22.03.2016) – Presentation of world brands and brands represented in Bulgaria, or special guests for the event.

The third night (24.03.2016) – presentation of young designers and new faces of the Bulgarian fashion scene.
